CURRICULUM

Our new printed curriculum contains an modules or every aspect of yearbook. The content is further broken down into areas of expertise: Essentials – Next Level – Expert.  The curriculum is designed to work in conjunction with eDesigns online tech tutorials. All printed curriculum materials are also available at www.learnybk.com. All you need is your HJ username and password to gain access. Additional training resources in including power-points are available. This information is rooted in the basics of good journalism, and include topics such as writing, design, photography, team building, time management and much more.

STYLE GUIDE

Aligning your goals for a successful yearbook program takes a lot of planning, check out this style guide to help you plan every aspect of your program. We also have a printed version of the information, let us know if you would like a copy. Please make a copy of the online style guide before adding your personal information.

TASK MANAGER

A great tool for Advisers to manage their staff is Task Manager, watch the short video below on this powerful tool. This is just phase one of Task Manager and the possibilities are endless as to what it can do to help organize you and your staff.

Building a successful yearbook program has everything to do with getting the kids to join the staff. Weather it is a class or club, the fact is kids are over scheduled and have to make choices about how they spend their time. Checkout this creative video that highlights why yearbook would be a good choice for so many kids. After airing the video, their staff grew from 8 students to 22 in one year.
