Our new printed curriculum contains an modules or every aspect of yearbook. The content is further broken down into areas of expertise: Essentials – Next Level – Expert. The curriculum is designed to work in conjunction with eDesigns online tech tutorials. All printed curriculum materials are also available at www.learnybk.com. All you need is your HJ username and password to gain access. Additional training resources in including power-points are available. This information is rooted in the basics of good journalism, and include topics such as writing, design, photography, team building, time management and much more.

Aligning your goals for a successful yearbook program takes a lot of planning, check out this style guide to help you plan every aspect of your program. We also have a printed version of the information, let us know if you would like a copy. Please make a copy of the online style guide before adding your personal information.

Building a successful yearbook program has everything to do with getting the kids to join the staff. Weather it is a class or club, the fact is kids are over scheduled and have to make choices about how they spend their time.
